Nude Mood

What's up with the weather these days? One minute it's raining and the next it's scorching hot. 

So undecided. So unexpected. 

Won't be surprised if it starts snowing next.

I've been getting a lot of nude/blush-toned items lately because they are so easy to match. They can go with well, almost everything?

Back to black

I've always been a fan of black. Practically lived in my black jeans and black shawl back in uni guys. Yup, i was am one of those people. 

Black has always been MY colour. I've been experimenting with colours for a while (the black obsession is under control, don't worry) but there's just a sense comfort and familiarity when it comes to black, you know what i'm sayin'?

Well, to me at least. We all have our favourites, don't we?

Fun with pleats

This was one of the days where i felt extra girly and feminine. 

I mean, not that i'm not. pfttt

I don't think I have a specific style when it comes to dressing. It's fun to experiment and my style is quite varied, I'd say. That's the fun part, no?

One day it'll be jeans and sandals and the next it could be heels and skirt. I guess what i wear fits my mood of the day. Or something like that.

Exploring KL

So I just came back from food haven KL and let's just say I'm avoiding the weighing scale for now. *locks it away and throws the key*

It was just a short but badly-needed trip, I'd say. Sometimes you just need to get away from everything for a while, you know? Of course, in the land of almost-everything-halal, what else would you do if not...eat. 

and eat. 

and EAT.  

Spent so much on food since we went cafe-hopping but it was totally worth it. Not so much on my waistline, though. Of course we did typical touristy stuff like sight-seeing as well to...burn off our fats. 

So that we could er, eat again. #pbgmoments

You'd probably get the gist of this whole trip now right?

I would love to share all the food pictures with y'all but I wouldn't want anyone to have drool on their laptops so here are some bits of the trip...sans food.

Bohemian vibe

What did i tell y'all? The sleeves obsession is real guys. Knew i just had to (read: MUST) get this top when i saw it.

Love the floral details on the front and sleeves (duh). I bet this would look great with a pair of denim jeans/pants as well. Or with a fringe bag and sandals, no? 

And what better place to visit than...*drumrolls*

....Gardens by the Bay. (Geddit? Floral top = Garden? Ok nvm.) 

If you haven't heard of this place before (um where have you been?!), I'd say give it a go next time you're in the city. This has got to be one of my favourite places to visit over here. No surprise it's always swarmed with people, even on a weekday. Pictures won't do justice to this lovely place so I'll just leave some for you to judge. 

My favourite part, most definitely. Waterfalls!

Get on it even if you're afraid of heights. Trust me, it's worth it.

Chasing the blues away

Blue has never been my colour. I don't know why but I usually tend to stay away from it. (Blue = boy = not for this girly girl?  Who knows. This brain works funny.)

 But this top just screams me that I had to get it. The sash in the front gives in a little detail to your outfit and it is quite versatile as well. You can have the knot in front or at the back, whatever floats your boat. Since the top is a little fitted, pair it with loose pants or skirt and you're good to go.

If you're like me and you love to fool people into thinking you have long legs (hehe), wide-legged pants are always a safe bet. Whoever invented these, I THANK YOU. 

These pants would make your legs go on for miles, man. Especially for people who are not that lucky in the height department. *coughsmecoughs*

Mask me up!

I love makeup and skincare products (um who doesn't?) and I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting things to try. Got myself the NARS velvet matte lip pencil in Bahama which might be my go-to lipstick from now on. The shade is to-die-for guys! 

Also, this particular mask brand, GLAMGLOW has caught my eye since forever and there are so many raves and reviews on it that i just have to try. HAVE TO.  

It is a little pricey so getting the smaller tub would be best if you're planning to try it first, like what I did. Let's hope a miracle happens! (Well, at the price I got it for, a miracle better happen...)

Raya shenanigans

Wait...didn't i just post about Ramadhan like a few hours ago?!

One month flew past just like that huh? Scary how fast time flies. May we all be blessed enough to meet Ramadhan again next year insyaAllah!

ANDDD so it's that time of the year again.Yes, I am one of those Raya grinches. 

Now, don't get me wrong. I love meeting all my family members. It's always nice to see each other after what feels like an eternity? Catching up with all the relatives and their adorable kids. 

Oh kids.

Don't get me started on those little minions. Those adorable cheeks waiting to be pinched and their funny antics. One of the things i look forward the most actually during this festive season. 

BUT...

with raya comes the much dreaded part a.k.a the questioning phase. 

Yeah, i bet you guys know what i'm talkin' bout. 

The typical 'when-are you-getting-a-job' or 'when-are-you-getting-married' questions. And the list goes on...

I know most people don't mean any harm when they ask these questions. But it gets really (like, reallyyy) tiring to listen to all these at EVERY household. I'm pretty sure you feel me?

And the worse part is that you can't say anything besides the occasional smile and awkward laugh, no? It's not like I have a magic ball to tell me when all these will happen. (They don't sell these, do they...)

Tell me, how do you all deal with these? 

On a more serious note, I hope everyone has an enjoyable Eid with you loved ones (annoying and non-annoying questions included). Eat lots of yummy food but maintain please. Don't stuff yourself like crazy, man. *not cool*

You know how everyone goes through certain phases in life? Yup, I'm going through one right now. I'm think I'm stuck and it's been happening for a while. Don't think i can get out of this phase soon and even if i want to, I probably wouldn't know how.

Hello flare sleeves! 

Heck, I never used to like them at all.

Now, it's ALL about the sleeves guys. Oh, if you could see my closet...

There's just something about the tiny details on the sleeves that makes an outfit just pop. I guess this is the reason why I'm crazy about them right now...and for the next few months probably. 

Plus, it doesn't hurt that these sleeves make you feel all graceful and princess-y. Or is that just me?

Change

Everyone has that phase in life. That i'm-stuck-in-a-rut-and-can't-get-out phase?

Yeah, not a pleasant experience and yours truly is going through it right now. I'm trying to figure out 

what i want to do in life and mannn, it's so hard. 

Where's the instruction manual for life when you need one?

That's the thing, isn't it? You get thrown into this thing called LIFE and you're just supposed to figure things out on your own. So many what-ifs and why-nots along the way. 

"Do i do something else?"

" Should I change?"

"Do i WANT to change?"

"Will it work out?"

Change and uncertainty are definitely frightening. No one wants to do something out of their comfort zone, especially if you've been doing it for so long. 

But at times, change is good. If it might help your grow and blossom into a better individual, why not right? And if things don't work out, at least you know you've tried.

i guess we just have to trust our own decisions and believe it is the best for us, eventually. Come what may, I'm ready to take you on, life!

People around me would know my major love for cats. Like MAJOR, i ain't even kidding you guys. 

I don't know what it is about about these feline creatures that can just warm even the coldest hearts. Well, unless you're terrified of them, that is. Then...good luck? HA HA.

I think if all else fails and marriage doesn't work out, i might be that old woman who lives in a shoe with 100 cats. Have you read that nursery before?

Friendship

Just had lunch with my girlfriends after what felt like eons since the last time we met. It's always nice going down memory lane, reminiscing the good ol' days with each other. Everyone has been so busy with work (and life, basically) it has never been easy to meet up. But oh, catching up and chit-chatting about everything and anything felt so good. Everyone has that group of friends, don't they? That don't-meet-up-for-years-but-can-still-talk-for-hours group? 

Times like this makes me miss school and my friends. 

Especially now that we are at that age where most people (read: not me) are embarking into new phases in life (weddings/engagements etc). Makes you go all warm and fuzzy to see your good friends being happy, doesn't it?

Working out

"Ok next year i will exercise more and lose some weight"

Been there done that, haven't we? I totally feel you girls. That's what i keep telling myself EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Oh if those running tracks could laugh at me they would have i bet. I don't know what it is about keeping to this that's so hard. Eat right, exercise more....i mean, simple right? 

Someone needs to knock some sense into me...or lock my junk food cabinet.

So this time round I'll try to make this work. Not saying I'll go on a complete junk food ban of course.  That's suicide impossible. I mean, have you met me? I practically live on chocolates man...

Starting things slow for now by going on regular long walks and I'm loving it. I've always been a fan of walks (parks, beaches, to Macs to get ice-cream...that's a walk too right?) so this part isn't so bad. I try to stay away from running like the plaque because let's face it, me and running DO NOT get along. 

We hate each other and i'm pretty sure it's mutual.

Walking amidst all this greenery sometimes makes me forget in this concrete city that we live in. So calming and relaxing. Pretty sure i am a nature person...if nature consists of WiFi and air-con of course. 

Let's see how long this will last...*grabs KitKat bar*

Going places...or not.

Seems like everyone has been hit by the travel bug. Right now the only travelling i can do is...in the

country. *cries*

I guess Singapore has nice places to visit too... (yeah yeah making myself feel better)

Someday i would love to travel and see the world too but until then, hello Modern Family and Vampire Diaries! *grabs popcorn*
